Responsibilities

• Teaching English: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Lesson Planning: Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to the needs of all students, ensuring inclusivity and engagement.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, managing behavior effectively to foster a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Assessment and Feedback: Assess students’ work and provide constructive feedback to support their academic progress.
• Adaptability: Quickly adapt to different school environments and requirements, maintaining high standards of teaching and professionalism.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with school staff, including other teachers and support staff, to ensure the smooth running of the school day.

Requirements

• Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Knowledge: Strong subject knowledge in English and familiarity with the UK National Curriculum.
• Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in various schools across Leeds and adapt to different teaching environments.
• Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Enhanced DBS check required.
